involvement from academics to hobbies. Whether
your child joins a club or plays a sport, they should
select activities based on personal interests making
the experience more enjoyable and beneficial.

Activities at San Antonio Charter Schools showcase your child’s talents. Clubs at Brooks
Academy showcase leadership ability, commitment and community involvement, all of
which the College Board suggests benefits applicants’ chances of getting admitted to the
college of their choice. Many organizations and clubs offer the perfect venue to show
initiative and drive on the part of your student.

UIL sanctioned
Brooks Academy of Science and
Engineering participates in UIL
sanctioned public school extracurricular
activities. Brooks Academy
is District 29-AA, which is arranged
by UIL classification to ensure that
student’s compete on a regular basis
with other schools in the geographic
area of a similar size.

Clubs and the ‘House’ system
Your child will belong to a ‘house’ during their career at Brooks
Academy. Throughout the year the four ‘houses’ participate in intramural
competitions by earning points in various activities from sports and
academic to social behavior. At year end, one ‘house’ claims the prestigious
title of ‘House Champion’ and receives an appropriate reward.
Recognitions and awards
The students at Brooks Academy have enjoyed numerous prestigious
honors in academics since the 2006/2007 school year.
