Intramural and UIL sports are offered for middle and
high school students at Brooks Academy of Science and Engineering. Middle school students may participate in
volleyball, cross country, basketball and wrestling while
high school students are offered the addition of football
and softball.

Sports and the ‘House’ system
Your child will belong to a ‘house’ during their time at Brooks Academy. Throughout the
year the four ‘houses’ participate in intramural competitions by earning points in various
activities from sports and academic to social behavior. At year end, one ‘house’ claims the
prestigious title of ‘House Champion’ and receives an appropriate reward.

Teamwork is an important skill for your
middle or high school student to learn, and
nowhere is this easier to teach than through
a sports setting. At Brooks Academy, students
learn how each individual’s effort combined
with that of their team-mates creates the
success of the team.
